For the past 4 years, I have been dressing in a small capsule wardrobe of 33 items or less, including clothes, jewelry, accessories and shoes. It makes it useless to think about what I`m going to wear. I don`t spend time shopping, chasing sales, or comparing and following fashion trends. Project 333 freed me from unnecessary expenses and buyer remorse and helped me unexpectedly learn what works best for my body and lifestyle. When I read Leo Babauta`s 7 rules that keep his life simple, I thought about the rules I am. While I like to be flexible, I also enjoy my daily habits and guidelines. These little rules helped me promote a happy and healthy environment and a simple life. In addition, they release some of this precious mental energy for other decisions and commitments. I have been fortunate in my life to experience both poverty and wealth; and I am full of gratitude for what everyone has taught me.

I hated winters in Boston, but this photo from Harvard Business School`s Baker Library fills my heart with nostalgia. HBS was magical in winter with its snow-capped trees and white cover. My Grade 1 residency (Hamilton Hall) was to the right of this snowman. You can`t see my dorm in this picture, but I went to class this way every day. I was dirty at the time; My parents were destitute and homeless. And my father finally left us. (In my 2nd year, my mother secretly lived in my little dormitory at Morris Hall against school policy because she couldn`t live anywhere else.)
