Hosa Scholarship Requirements

The scholarship application will be published here on January 2, 2023 and must be submitted on February 3, 2023 at 11:59 p.m. While the amount and number of scholarships may vary, funds are generally provided for two $1,000 post-secondary scholarships. With a single application, you will be considered for ALL scholarships offered by Arizona HOSA. The GHA provides annual funding to offer post-secondary scholarships (administered by HOSA) as well as scholarships for students to attend HOSA meetings such as the annual International Leadership Conference. The post-secondary scholarship, the GHA Hogan Scholarship, is awarded to students through a competitive application process to Georgia HOSA students who have work or volunteer experience at an GHA member hospital. Arizona HOSA offers several scholarships for high school seniors who plan to attend college, university, or business school after graduation and a diploma/certificate in the health field. or members of the post-secondary or college HOSA who wish to pursue their studies in the health field. The Georgia Hospital Association, in partnership with Georgia HOSA, is offering RInC attendees scholarships ranging from $5 to $500 for registration and travel related to the 2022 International Leadership Conference. This is a needs-based scholarship designed to assist SLC qualified competitors who would not be able to attend RInC due to the cost associated with travel. Scholarship applications must be submitted annually with the State Leadership Conference (SLC) registration documents. In 2022, eighteen outstanding students received prizes ranging from $500 to $2,000 to support their post-secondary education. The amount and number of scholarships vary from year to year. The number of requests per chapter is unlimited. If the fellow is present at the SLC, he or she will be called on stage to receive the scholarship. Recipients do not have to attend the CSL to receive their award. The program is made possible through the partners sponsoring the scholarships. Competitive events are divided into six (6) different categories, namely Health Sciences Events, Health Professions Events, Emergency Preparedness Events, Leadership Events, Teamwork Events and Recognition Events. Students who participate in competitive events enhance their academic, technical, and leadership skills. Any student who is a member of HOSA and graduates from high school or completes their post-secondary/college program is eligible to become a life member of HOSA. The HOSA, Inc.
