Country-specific information, including entry requirements, fees and scholarships. For students who require a student visa to study in the UK, all requirements are subject to visa requirements as well as academic requirements. We accept the European Baccalaureate as an A level requirement if an overall grade of 75 or higher is achieved. We will also look for Grade 8 in each subject most relevant to the applied curriculum. For GCSE equivalence, we will consider your Year 6 grades with at least 7.5 for GCSE Class C/4 requirements. Programs requiring IELTS 7.5/7.0/6.5/6.0/5.5: Passed with a letter from the institution confirming that the degree has been taught entirely in English and that the student has been assessed to write, speak, read and listen in English, meets the requirements of the English language. Coming from the U.S. university system, I was surprised at how much of the work at Goldsmiths was independent and personal, and how quickly the program was successful (I was a full-time student, so I completed the master`s degree in one year). Studying at Goldsmiths broadened my critical thinking and writing and introduced me to new ways of approaching contemporary art through different areas of theory. Entry requirements at Goldsmiths vary from course to course, and the admissions team reviews each application individually and accepts several alternative entry pathways in addition to qualifications such as A-levels. In general, most degree programs require BBB at Level A or equivalent, although prospective students are advised to check the university`s website for details of the course-specific application.

Some degrees have additional entry requirements, which may include a portfolio of previous work or essay submissions, interviews, auditions, or GCSE-specific requirements. Goldsmiths also offers a selection of base year courses for students who do not meet the admission requirements for direct entry into the program of study of their choice so that the student can progress to a full degree after graduation. If you have at least 60 credits in a relevant area of expertise, we may review your application. If a program has additional requirements, such as GCSEs, you must also meet those requirements. If you don`t meet these requirements, consider one of our integrated degrees with one year of incorporation. We welcome the Extended Project Qualification (EPQ) and recognise the value of this project in preparing students for higher education. Applications from candidates who have completed (or will complete) an EPQ in addition to the appropriate Level 3 qualifications may also receive a discounted offer. For example, if the program requirements are Level A BBB, the typical offer for candidates who complete an EPQ would be BBC Level A and Grade B in the EPQ. Please note that we usually expect a B grade in the respective subject for the requirements of the Abitur.

You may also be considered for advanced access to some of our undergraduate programs if you have completed a study visit to a U.S. university or community college. Normally, students who have completed 2 years at the bachelor`s level are eligible to apply for entry into year 2. Please contact the international team for more details. Please note that not all programs allow participation in the second year. We are aware that it can be difficult for students to pass some English tests. With this in mind, we have expanded our list of acceptable qualifications for entry. For more information on supporting applicants and first-year students, visit the Covid-19 Counselling for Goldsmiths Applicants page. Normally, you must have been in university for at least 1 year and have a GPA of at least 3.0. If you have a lower grade point average, we can still consider you, especially if you have worked in this field before. Learn more on our Study Abroad pages. We do not make offers based on UCAS points, but on the actual qualifications you take.

Nevertheless, it is important to list all your qualifications as we take a holistic approach when evaluating applications. In some cases, you can complete a combination of qualifications such as two A levels and a BTEC level 3 or an A level and a Cambridge Pre-U. We look forward to the appropriate combinations. If you are unsure of your qualifications, please contact the admissions team who will be happy to provide you with more information. You will also find more information in our admission policy. If your programme has GCSE requirements, you can find information on equivalent qualifications in the UK Level 2 qualifications section. For A-Level equivalents, please see UK Level 3 Qualifications. To enter postgraduate programmes, you will typically need a bachelor`s degree in a subject relevant to your proposed postgraduate field. Some topics may also have specific entry requirements (including portfolios) and application deadlines. Please refer to the individual course pages to find out what it is.
